Samoa Joe Explains Brutal Attack on Hangman Page After AEW WrestleDream

by

Samoa Joe has officially broken his silence following the vicious post-match beatdown on AEW World Champion Hangman Page at AEW WrestleDream 2025—and he’s not exactly offering an apology.

On the October 22, 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite, Joe stepped into the ring fresh off a win, having just forced MVP to tap out in a hard-hitting trios match that saw The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata) defeat The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP).

Once the match was over, Joe grabbed the mic and made it very clear why he targeted Hangman Page after their world title match at WrestleDream.

“I did what I did because he exists.”

Joe wasn’t done. The veteran then fired off another chilling line that shows just how personal things have gotten between him and the AEW World Champion.

“I’m gonna slap his cowboy ass and make him my bitch.”

He then dropped the mic and walked off, leaving no doubt that he sees Hangman Page as unfinished business.

At WrestleDream, Page narrowly survived a brutal title defense against Joe, winning after connecting with a Buckshot Lariat. But the victory celebration didn’t last. Joe and his crew jumped him after the bell and delivered a savage beatdown, punctuated by a Muscle Buster off the turnbuckle.

With Joe now openly declaring war on the AEW World Champion, the next chapter of this rivalry is set to be even more violent.

Do you think Samoa Joe has a legitimate claim to another title shot, or is this personal vendetta going too far? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know where you stand.
