Sean Brady: Shavkat Rakhmonov not fighting until 2027: ‘He’s cooked’

Sean Brady isn’t confident about Shavkat Rakhmonov’s future.

Rakhmonov (19-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) re-injured his knee and has undergone surgery once again, which is expected to sideline him for at least nine months. The 31-year-old hasn’t been seen in action since defeating Ian Machado Garry at UFC 310 in December 2024.

Brady thinks Rakhmonov will be out for even longer.

“Bro, he’s cooked,” Brady said on his “The BradyBagz Show.” “I feel bad. I mean he’s already been out since – he hasn’t fought since the end of 2024. It was that Ian fight. He didn’t fight all of 2025. He was on crutches and had on a knee brace. Bro, he’s not fighting until 2027.

“Then how do you even come back. Are you a shell of yourself when you come back like that? You’ve got to be so scared to go into training. I feel bad. That f*cking sucks. He’s not going to get to come back and have like a layup. UFC don’t do that sh*t. No starter meals.”

Rakhmonov has been removed from the UFC’s welterweight rankings, but Brady is baffled to see Colby Covington still have a place.

“How the f*ck is Colby still in the rankings?” Brady said. “Colby is still in the rankings, bro. He hasn’t won a fight since like 2022 I think. He’s still in the rankings. It’s crazy. I don’t know how. He’ll be 38 this year. He has not fought since Buckley in 2024. He has not won a fight since 2022 and it was Masvidal. Get that b*tch-ass motherf*cker out of the rankings.”
