Jack Della Maddalena’s welterweight title reign proved to be short lived after Islam Makhachev took the belt from him in the UFC 322 main event.
Della Maddalena (18-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) had no answers for the dominance of Makhachev (28-1 MMA, 17-1 UFC) on the ground, and before he knew it 25 minutes had passed and he lost a lopsided unanimous decision at Madison Square Garden in New York.

With his 18-fight winning streak over and the Aussie tasting defeat for the first time since May 2016, Della Maddalena now has to hit the reset button.
