The Georgia Bulldogs have seen significant changes in their 2026 recruiting class this past month. Through the month of October alone, Georgia has seen two flips. Linebacker Shadarius Toodle flipped to the Auburn Tigers, while three-star defensive lineman Corey Howard flipped from Georgia to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The Bulldogs earned a flip of their own to end the month. Georgia flipped Mississippi State Bulldogs offensive tackle commitment Jarmaine Mitchell, who is the No. 1 player at his position in junior college (JUCO).

Despite this, the Georgia Bulldogs’ 2026 class is still ranked No. 2 in the country and No. 1 in the SEC. On 247Sports, the Bulldogs have 303.35 recruiting points. Recruiting points are supposed to show the strength of each recruiting class, and Georgia is less than one point behind USC, the best 2026 recruiting class in the nation (304.35).
Georgia has 30 total commitments, with two five-stars (quarterback Jared Curtis, offensive tackle Ekene Ogboko), 20 four-stars, and seven three-stars rounding out the class. Georgia has recruited tight ends well, earning commitments from four-stars Kaiden Prothro, Lincoln Keyes, and Brayden Fogle.
On the defensive side, Georgia has targeted the interior defensive line (Valdin Sone, Pierre Dean, Carter Lickie, Anthony Lonon Jr., Preston Carey, Seven Cloud) and the secondary (Justice Fitzpatrick, Caden Harris, Zech Fort, Chace Calicut, Jordan Smith, Kealan Jones, Tyriq Green).
Unfortunately, the Bulldogs lack in running back (Jae Lamar), edge rusher (Khamari Brooks) and linebacker (Nick Abrams II) depth. They’ll either look to flip recruits from other schools or utilize the transfer portal.

Still, Georgia is on top of the SEC, the best conference in football recruiting. Five teams (Georgia, No. 3 Alabama, No. 5 Texas A&M, No. 7 Texas, No. 8 Tennessee) make up the top 10 classes in the nation. LSU (No. 12) and Florida (No. 15) are still in the top 15, despite LSU firing Brian Kelly and Florida axing Billy Napier, but that might change come early signing period in December.
