The No. 3 Texas A&M Aggies are 9-0 and riding their best stretch since the early 1990s. A top spot in the College Football Playoff and a berth in the SEC Championship Game are well within reach with three regular-season games remaining.
Over the weekend, Aggie defensive end Cashius Howell reached double-digit sacks after delivering a strip sack that ended the drive. The game reached a point where the opposing team resorted to doubling or chipping Howell to contain him in pass-rushing situations. Despite all the talent that departed for the NFL or transferred, Howell has been everything Coach Mike Elko and his staff could have hoped for.

On Monday, the SEC named the senior DL as the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week after a five-tackle, a TFL, one-sack weekend on the road against Missouri. Below is the excerpt from the release from the conference officials:
