Tennessee received a transfer portal commitment on Saturday. Michigan sophomore cornerback Tevis Metcalf committed to the Vols.
The 5-foot-10, 198-pound defensive back appeared in three games in 2025 during his only season with the Wolverines. He totaled three tackles and forced one fumble.

Metcalf transferred to Michigan from Arkansas. As a freshman in 2024, he recorded one tackle in 12 games for the Razorbacks.
Metcalf is from Clay-Chalkville High School in Pinson, Alabama.
His brother, safety TJ Metcalf, also transferred from Michigan and signed with the Vols. He appeared in 13 games in his only season with the Wolverines in 2025. TJ Metcalf totaled 58 tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss, one interception, five pass deflections and one fumble recovery.
He also transferred to Michigan after playing two seasons at Arkansas.
The NCAA transfer portal closed Friday after opening on Jan. 2. Once a student-athlete notifies a school regarding transferring, a school has 48 hours to enter their name into the transfer portal.Β Once entered, a student-athlete can be contacted.
