AMES – Everyone agrees: Iowa State women’s basketball is a top-10 squad.
The Cyclones moved into the top 10 of the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches poll, checking in at No. 10 in the poll released Nov. 9.

Iowa State was previously No. 11, but the Cyclones had just one game the previous week and had no troubles with it, beating Northern Illinois 105-52 on Dec. 7. Audi Crooks scored 30 points and grabbed four rebounds in the easy home victory.
That was more than enough to bump the Cyclones up a spot, which brings them to No. 10 in both major polls. Iowa State checked in at No. 10 in the latest AP poll that came out Dec. 8.
Iowa State has rolled through the start of the season, going 10-0 with wins over Marquette, Indiana and in-state rival Drake. It’s the best start for the team since the 2013-14 campaign when the Cyclones rattled off 14-straight victories to begin the year.
Things get significantly tougher for Iowa State with a pair of in-state matchups at home this week. The Cyclones face No. 12 Iowa on Dec. 10 and then close out the non-conference portion of the schedule against Northern Iowa on Dec. 14.
