See latest ESPN bracketology for Iowa State women’s basketball

As the calendar turns to 2026 and Big 12 play rolls on, we’re getting closer and closer to an NCAA Tournament berth for Iowa State women’s basketball.

The Cyclones (14-1), as of Jan. 6, are firmly in the projected women’s field of 64 for the 2026 NCAA Tournament. On Tuesday morning, ESPN’s Charlie Creme released his latest bracketology predictions. Here’s where the Cyclones stand following their loss to Baylor on Sunday.

Iowa State basketball bracketology projection

Creme has the Cyclones listed as a 3 seed and, if his prediction were to come true, would be playing in the Region 4 Sacramento side of the bracket. Iowa State’s first game in this week’s bracketology would come against No. 14 seed Montana State.

In this projection, the Cyclones would host games during the first weekend of action at Hilton Coliseum.

Iowa State’s women’s basketball NET ranking

Following Iowa State’s loss to Baylor, the Cyclones were listed as No. 23 in the NET rankings. NET rankings change daily, so be sure to keep tabs on where Bill Fennelly’s team lands after Wednesday’s game at Cincinnati.
