AMES — As Iowa State women’s basketball’s losing streak continued, so did the team’s fall in the national rankings.

Iowa State dropped eight spots in the Associated Press poll, falling to No. 19 in the latest AP rankings released on Jan. 12.

Iowa State Cyclones’ guard Evangelia Paulk (5) shoots the ball around West Virginia Mountaineers forward Kierra Wheeler (22) during the fourth quarter in the Big-12 women’s basketball on Jan. 11, 2026, at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa.

The Cyclones were at No. 11 the previous week. But since then, Iowa State dropped two contests and the losing streak has reached three games.
