Shane Lowry is a golfer you can always count on for success and there is no doubt that the future will be filled with even greater success than he has achieved so far.

The 38-year-old has excelled in many tournaments this year, but the highlight of his 2025 season was certainly winning the Ryder Cup on the away soil.

Lowry proved to be a key figure for his team, helping the Europeans to victory on American soil, a feat that many consider one of the greatest achievements in the world of golf.

Speaking to RTÉ, the Irish golfer, touched on this season by saying that his main goal was to win the Ryder Cup.

Although he had hoped to win the Majors trophies, the competition was fierce and it was indeed difficult to meet such a goal.

However, he is pleased with his successes both in the Majors and in other tournaments, and his form can certainly keep him looking forward to the future.

"My ultimate goal this year was to win the Ryder Cup,"- he said.

"Obviously I want to win majors and I want to win big tournaments but when your ultimate goal is to do something and you do it you can't help but look back on the whole year with fondness.

I played great at the Masters for three days, I played great in the signature events, I was playing great golf from January to May up until the PGA Championship."

Shane Lowry played the best golf of his career

Ultimately, Shane Lowry believes he played some of the best golf of his career and is aware that he will look back on these moments with nostalgia in the future, stressing that Bethpage was the pinnacle of his career.

The Ryder Cup at Adare Manor will also give him the opportunity to be an important figure in the Ryder Cup team, saying he is already focused on such a challenge.

Although some believe that with age one loses motivation and the desire to succeed, he believes that there is still much to achieve in the world of this sport and he is very driven to achieve it.
