Shara Magomedov is eager to run things back with Michael Page.
When the pair were matched up at UFC Fight Night 250 this past February, people salivated at the striking matchup. However, the fight did not live up to the hype when Page ended up cruising to a unanimous decision win over Magomedov (16-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC).

After the fight, the formerly unbeaten Magomedov released a statement claiming that he was dealing with a slew of health issues which hampered his performance. He wants to prove that a rematch would be different, but knows he still has some work to do.
“My plan is to get back next year, smack somebody up, probably someone outside the top 15, then beat someone from the top 15, and next up, a Michael Page rematch,” Magomedov told Red Corner MMA. “That is a must. I want to prove to the fans that the first time I just failed to show what I’m capable of. I didn’t show anything just because I wasn’t able to do so because of health issues. It was just out of my control.”
Since losing to Page, Magomedov rebounded with a Fight of the Night unanimous decision win over Marc-Andre Barriault at UFC on ABC 9 in July. He battled UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan to a draw in their grappling match Tuesday at Hype FC in Armenia.
