The replacement for Sheamus in The Last Time Is Now tournament has officially been revealed—and it’s none other than The Miz.
According to PWInsider, The A-Lister will step in for Sheamus and face LA Knight in a quarterfinal matchup on next week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
Sheamus was pulled from the tournament due to a shoulder injury, leaving fans wondering who would take his place. WWE initially stated that Raw GM Adam Pearce and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis were working together to make the call. Now, it’s confirmed that The Miz will fill the spot as the bracket moves forward.
The winner of the tournament will go on to face John Cena in his final match, set for December 13 during a special Saturday Night’s Main Event broadcast.
Updated quarterfinal bracket now looks like this:
- LA Knight vs. The Miz
- Jey Uso vs. Rusev
- Solo Sikoa vs. Penta
- Carmelo Hayes vs. GUNTHER
With everything on the line, Miz now has a massive opportunity to step into the spotlight and potentially end the career of one of WWE’s biggest legends.
