Sherilyn Guerrero is finally stepping into the squared circleβand now we know why she waited so long.
The daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero is currently training at Booker Tβs Reality of Wrestling school, but she made it clear this isnβt just about family ties. In a recent interview on The Hardy Wrestling Podcast, Sherilyn explained the personal journey that led her to finally follow in her legendary fatherβs footsteps.
Sherilyn revealed that despite growing up surrounded by wrestling, she initially had no interest in following her famous familyβs path.
βI grew up kind of not wanting to be in wrestling because my mom went into it, then my sister went into it, and I felt like maybe I was okay staying away from it.β
That all changed in 2025, when she had conversations with other second-generation talent like Zilla Fatu, Roman Reignsβones who reminded her of the deeper meaning behind legacy.
βThis year I met Zilla Fatu, Roman, and a few other wrestlers who really helped instill in me how wrestling runs in our blood. Especially thinking about his father and my dadβthey truly lived wrestling and put their whole hearts into it.β
Even though fans had been calling for her to debut for years, she said her father kept them humbleβsomething that made her hesitate.
βFans have always asked me, βWhen are you going to start wrestling?β But my dad kept us so humble that I always thought, no, not me.β
But the moment she stepped inside Reality of Wrestlingβs training centerβrun by Booker Tβit all clicked.
βAfter talking things through and getting in the ring at Reality of Wrestling, something just felt right. It felt natural.β
Sherilyn says she quickly realized wrestling wasnβt just about carrying a nameβit was about embodying the values behind it.
βLearning about legacy and how to carry it forward goes beyond wrestling. Itβs about character and how you treat people.β
With time, self-confidence, and the support of fellow wrestlers, she now feels ready to fully embrace the business.
βThe more confidence I gain to be my full, authentic self, the more I feel like I belong in this business. Thereβs nothing else Iβd rather doβI canβt be anything otherwise.β
Sherilyn also revealed sheβs had the blessing of Rey and Dominik Mysterio, who encouraged her to move forward.
βIβve talked to Rey and Dom, and theyβve told me this is what I should do and that they fully support me. That means a lot.β
Sherilyn Guerrero is ready to step out of the shadows and into her own story. Her last name might be legendaryβbut this next chapter is hers to write.
