India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill failed to make an impact with the bat on his return to the Ranji Trophy. Having been dropped from India’s T20I setup, Shubman Gill badly struggled to counter the spin attack in the Ranji Trophy clash between Punjab and Saurashtra in Rajkot.
Double trouble for Shubman Gill as Parth Bhut strikes twice
The Indian captain was dismissed cheaply in both innings in the same fashion, scoring just 0 off 2 balls in the first and 14 off 32 balls in the second while playing a sweep shot against Saurashtra.
Parth Bhut got the better of Gill on both occasions, trapping him lbw each time. It was a frustrating outing for the star batter, who would have hoped for a strong comeback after an ordinary ODI series against New Zealand at home.
