Another former Utah player will be following Kyle Whittingham to Michigan.

Cornerback Smith Snowden, who played high school football at Skyridge before starring at Utah, is the latest former Ute to transfer to Michigan.

In his junior season at Utah, Snowden totaled 37 tackles, two interceptions and nine breakups for the Utes in 2025, earning a Pro Football Focus grade of 68.4 for the season.

He also played on offense, especially at the start of the year, and contributed 57 receiving yards and 40 yards rushing with a touchdown.

After entering the transfer portal, Snowden received interest from a number of schools, including BYU, Colorado, Florida, Notre Dame and Oregon, according to 247Sports’ Blair Angulo.

Snowden was ranked as the No. 3 cornerback in the transfer portal, according to 247Sports.

In Michigan, the 2022 Mr. Football winner will be reunited with not just Whittingham, but some former teammates as well.

Defensive end John Henry Daley, wide receiver JJ Buchanan and defensive tackle Jonah Lea’ea have made the move from Utah to Michigan, with four-star receiver/safety Salesi Moa expected to join them after entering the transfer portal Monday.
