Jordan Spieth is a major figure in the golf scene. While his performances this season, and in previous ones, have not given optimism that we can expect great things from him, Spieth has been able to shine this season in some of the tournaments.
However, the famous golfer will have to change a lot in his game.
The 32-year-old finished in 54th place in the FedEx Cup standings and his season is now over.
However, whether he will work on some aspects of his game and whether he will change certain things is still unclear.
Smiley Kaufman reacted to Spieth's performances this season, a little surprised.
Kaufman, just like the general public, is somewhat confused by the performances of the experienced golfer. We know that Spieth used to be one of the leading golfers in the world of this sport.
However, his inconsistency cost him not only this season, but in previous years as well.
Kaufman pointed out that Spieth did not have a phenomenal round this season that could set him on the right path.
Smylie emphasizes that Spieth will have to get back to winning ways and make the most of the offseason.
“I don’t see Jordan playing a ton. He very well play a couple events if he feels like he needs to.
But he’s a player, it just feels like, it’s just hard to believe that any Signature Event wouldn’t want Jordan to go and play.
I know that goes against everybody’s opinion of what the PGA Tour is. That would be more of a closed shop type of a system, and that’s what all the LIV people against the PGA Tour, but then don’t have sponsors exemptions, you know!
We’ll see on that. Bummer for Jordan not to get through. He’s a guy that feels he would take two steps forward and then one step back. He never had that crazy good round this year and it never felt like he was able to put an entire tournament together. He never quite got into contention.
He will need to, not going back to the drawing board, it’s just to continue to show up next year with the confidence that this is my DNA, this is what I’m going to do, and not tweak too much and to just go and play creative golf and trust that his stuff is good enough.“- he said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.
Will the future be bright for him?
Fans of the American golfer hope that something will change in the near future. It's hard to watch golf stars not be at their best at times, but it's clear that Spieth has the potential to change a lot.
