Though it definitely looked dicey with Iowa trailing Michigan State 17-7 late in the third quarter, the Hawkeyes dug deep and found a way to emerge victorious in what wound up as a thrilling 20-17 walk-off Senior Day victory over the Spartans.

Iowa (7-4, 5-3 Big Ten) snapped its two-game losing streak and kept Michigan State (3-8, 0-8 Big Ten) winless in Big Ten play.

After Iowa’s offense had been held scoreless in its previous five quarters of play, the Hawkeyes’ offense managed to find itself in the fourth quarter against Michigan State. Iowa scored 13 fourth-quarter points, including Drew Stevens’ game-winning, 44-yard field goal as time expired.

Though it delivered plenty of gray hairs, Iowa’s walk-off winner also created the perfect opportunity for social media to erupt in celebration.
