Victor Wembanyama’s height has been causing quite a stir around league circles.
The Spurs star was listed at 7′ 3″ as a rookie.
But, now the Spurs’ roster has him listed at 7′ 4″, while NBA.com says he is 7′ 5″. Very curious.
7’4” Serbian big man Boban Marjanovic claimed that when he was face-to-face with Wembanyama on the court, that he had to look up to him.
So, his true height has got to be at least 7′ 5″.
“I’m 7’4”. I’m looking up at Victor Wembanyama like… no way,” Boban said on ESPN.
Veteran NBA analyst Brian Windhorst added, “He was listed as 7’3” as a rookie but that was a lie. He’s not 7’3”, I believe he’s actually about 7’5”.
“He’s now listed as 7’5”, I believe he might be approaching 7’7” unofficially.”
In response to Boban, Yahoo Sports’ Kevin O’Connor wrote on X, “I’ve been saying this a long time. Wemby is 100% near 7’7”. I’ve been around Boban, Tacko Fall, these enormous players. Wemby is taller than them all.”

Just days ago, analyst Bill Simmons also brought up the curious case of Wemby’s height and hilariously poking fun at the Spurs in the process.
“By the way, congrats to the Spurs for finally admitting he’s 7’5”, NBA commentator Bill Simmons said on his podcast.
“It’s just little baby steps until everyone admits he’s 7’6”, which he actually is. But at least we’re going with 7’5” now.
“Kareem (Abdul-Jabbar) always lied, Bill Walton always lied, (Kevin) Durant is another height liar.”
No matter his height, Wemby looks like he’s coming into this season with a new type of game. During preseason, he looks to be using his size a lot more and some claim he’s moving like Shaq used to. Real scary hours.
