Statistics for former Vols in USF’s football win at Florida

South Florida (2-0) defeated No. 15 Florida (1-1), 18-16, on Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida.

Alex Golesh is in his third season as the Bulls‘ head coach. He served as Tennessee’s offensive coordinator and tight ends coach from 2021-22.

Two former Vols recorded statistics for South Florida in the Week 2 contest.

Wide receiver Chas Nimrod totaled three receptions for 24 yards. He played at Tennessee from 2022-24 and appeared in 27 games. Nimrod recorded 29 receptions for 315 yards and one touchdown with the Vols.

Cornerback De’Shawn Rucker totaled six tackles in South Florida’s win at Florida. He appeared in 24 games for the Vols from 2021-23, recording 14 tackles, one pass deflection and one block.

South Florida will next play at No. 7 Miami on Saturday. Kickoff between the Bulls and Hurricanes is slated for 4:30 p.m. EDT. South Florida defeated preseason ranked No. 25 Boise State in Week 1.
