New York has been unveiled as a new host city of the 2026 SVNS series. Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey will play host to the USA’s leg of the annual Rugby Sevens event. The 2026 USA SVNS will be played on March 14-15.
The venue in Harrison, New Jersey has a capacity of 25,000. It is a similar size to Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles which is now the former USA host SVNS venue.
The 2026 SVNS will kick-off in November, 2025. Dubai will play host to the first leg on November 29-20. The second leg will be in Cape Town, South Africa, also before the turn of the year. New York follows the Canadian leg which will be in Vancouver on March 07-08, 2026.
Formerly known as the Red Bull Arena, the Sports Illustrated Stadium played host to the now defunct Churchill Cup rugby competition in 2010. It also played host to an English Premiership match between London Irish and Saracens in 2016, the USA vs Ireland in 2017 and the 2022 Major League Rugby (MLR) final between New York and Seattle.
The six legs of the SVNS Series will be followed by the 2026 SVNS World Championships in Hong Kong, Valladolid, Spain and Bordeaux, France.
