Former Syracuse Orange standout Brittney Sykes enjoyed a career-best WNBA season before being traded from Washington to the Seattle Storm. Tonight, Sykes and the Storm face the Las Vegas Aces in game three of their Best-Of-Three first round series. The game will be at 9:30 on ESPN (and by that point the Bills should be handily ahead of the Dolphins).
Las Vegas entered the WNBA playoffs on a 16-game winning streak and they took care of the Storm in game 1 by a 102-77 score. It looked like the Aces would complete the sweep on Tuesday night, but Seattle stormed back in the fourth quarter to knock off Vegas 86-83.
Sykes has been quiet these first two games, but her addition to Seattle’s roster was to provide better defense. If Seattle is going to knock off A’ja Wilson and the Aces in Vegas, they will also need Sykes to knock down some shots.

In the Unrivaled playoffs, Sykes stepped up her game when Angel Reese went down with injury and while the Storm don’t need her to score 20 points tonight, hitting open shots and reducing turnovers will be key. Seattle needs to win tonight to keep Sykes’ chances of celebrating double titles alive and we’ll be watching.
