The Syracuse Orange continue to roll right along so far in 2025-26, and the team’s performance is now earning it some national recognition.
Syracuse received four votes in the latest women’s college basketball AP poll, which was released on Monday. It’s the first time that has happened all year for the Orange, who are coming off a perfect 2-0 stretch this past week.

‘Cuse most recently came away with a signature win on Sunday, beating Stanford by 11 at home for its second Quadrant 2 victory of the season. In the game prior, it outlasted California in triple overtime.
Only two ACC teams are currently ranked top-25 in the AP poll — Louisville at No. 8 and Duke at No. 21 — with another four, including the Orange, getting votes. The rest of the list includes North Carolina, Notre Dame and NC State.
Syracuse enters this week 16-3 overall with a 6-2 record in conference play. It sits third in the ACC standings, as of Monday night.
The Orange are also now up to No. 40 in NET, with three combined Q1/Q2 wins, a 3-3 overall record in those contests and a perfect 13-0 against the rest of its schedule.

Syracuse will return to the court on Sunday to face the Tar Heels, another key opportunity for the Orange to land a road Q1 victory.
