TheΒ August 1 episode of WWE SmackDown saw a very tall debut for the blue brand.
Hikuleo used to perform on the indies and all over the globe. The Bloodline family member finally arrived in WWE, and then he got a new name after he hooked up with Solo Sikoa.
This week on SmackDown, Talla Tonga made his in-ring debut for WWE. This singles match landed during the second hour of the show. He had Solo Sikoa by his side, as expected.
Talla Tonga had quite an opponent for his first match on WWE television, as Jimmy Uso stepped in the ring with him. This match went through a commercial break, as Jimmy sold for the newcomer for most of it. Uce nailed a dive onto Talla Tonga after he took him to the outside, but it only phased the giant man.
When the show returned from commercial, Jimmy Uso was trying his best, but Talla Tonga kept no-selling and he was in beast mode. Uso kicked Solo off the apron and then he nailed Talla with a spear before he climbed to the top rope for an Uso Splash, but Talla reached up his hand and caught Big Jimβs throat for a chokeslam to win the match.
Solo Sikoa and the Tongans got in the ring and the cage above the ring started to lower. Suddenly, Jacob Fatu ran out to slide in the cage just in time. At SummerSlam, Fatu and Solo will be in that cage for the US Title match. Solo took off as Jacob fought off the MFTs.
We will have to keep a close eye on Talla Tonga from this point on. It is certainly hard to miss him, as the man stands at such a tall stature.
