Will it be time for a shoey at UFC 325 in Sydney? The oddsmakers don’t like Tai Tuivasa’s chances in his hometown return against Tallison Teixeira.
Tallison Teixeira vs. Tai Tuivasa preview
Teixeira (8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) will look to rebound from a quick, 35-second first-round finish against Derrick Lewis in July. That result was the first loss of his career, in what was a massive test for the second fight of his UFC tenure. The Dana White’s Contender Series vet won his UFC debut, coincidentally, in a bonus-earning 35 seconds, by finishing Justin Tafa.

Returning to action on home soil is Tuivasa (14-8 MMA, 8-8 UFC), who aims to stop the bleeding of a lengthy losing streak. Tuivasa has lost five consecutive fights, stretching back to 2022. His last appearance was in August 2024, where he lost a split decision to Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Tuivasa’s last victory was a second-round finish of Lewis at UFC 271 in February 2022.
Tallison Teixeira vs. Tai Tuivasa odds
According to FanDuel, the oddsmakers see Teixeira as a large favorite at -340 over Tuivasa, who comes in as a +250 underdog.
