Tennessee basketball hosting pair of five-star recruits for Duke exhibition

Tennessee basketball is lining up an important recruiting weekend as it hosts Duke for an exhibition on Oct. 26.

The Vols are expecting to host a trio of top 2026 recruits as five-star forward Christian Collins, five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr. and four-star guard Jasiah Jervis visit the Vols.

Collins, a 6-foot-8, 200-pound forward, is the No. 7 prospect in the nation in the 247Sports Composite. The Bellflower (California) St. John Bosco star is the No. 2 power forward. He also has visited USC, UCLA, Oregon and Kentucky.

Rippey is the nation’s top-ranked point guard. The Blairstown (New Jersey) Blair Academy standout has visited Miami, North Carolina, Texas Syracuse, Kentucky and Duke.

Jervis has set a commitment date of Nov. 5. The White Plains (New York) Archbishop Stepinac guard has a top group of Illinois, Michigan State, NC State, Pitt and Tennessee. UT is his final visit before deciding. He is the No. 35 prospect nationally.

Tennessee basketball has three commitments in 2026 class

Tennessee has landed three commitments in the 2026 class since late September.

Four-star forward Ralph Scott, four-star forward Manny Green and three-star point guard Marquis Clark are the three commits in the class.

Scott, who’s 6-8, 190 pounds, is the No. 38 prospect in the nation and picked UT over Houston, Purdue and Texas A&M when he committed on Sept. 30. He plays at IMG Academy. Green committed on Oct. 10. The 6-6, 205-pound Green is the No. 101 prospect and picked Tennessee over Auburn, Georgia Tech, Cal and USF. Green is a standout at Ellenwood (Georgia) Cedar Grove.

Clark is the latest commit after pledging to the Vols on Oct. 15. The 6-foot-2, 165-pound point guard is the No. 252 prospect and the No. 38 point guard. The Chicago native plays for Whitney Young Magnet School picked UT over Iona, Ball State, Southern Illinois, Purdue-Fort Wayne and Western Michigan.
