Tennessee football offers 2027 California safety

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class. The Vols offered a scholarship to four-star safety Myles Baker.

“After a great conversation with coach Joey Halzle, I am blessed to receive an offer from the University of Tennessee,” Baker announced.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound prospect is from Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, California. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 25 safety in the class and No. 22 player in California.

San Diego State was the first school to offer Baker a scholarship on May 20, 2024. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Arizona State, Georgia, Oregon, Fresno State, Colorado State, Texas A&M, UCLA, Notre Dame, Michigan, USC, UNLV, LSU, Texas, Kansas, Sacramento State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Stanford, Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and California.

Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, cornerback Kamauri Whitfield, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife.
