Texas A&M 2026 5-star signee shines in Day 2 of Navy AAB practice

by

Texas A&M’s 2026 signing class features several incoming freshmen who will see the field as soon as the 2026 season, headlined by five-star athlete and future star cornerback Brandon Arrington, who, along with wide receiver signees Aaron Gregory and Madden Williams, will play in this weekend’s Navy All-American Bowl.

All three players have received plenty of praise this week during the first practice, and while Gregory and Williams showed off their impressive route running and soft hands, Arrington, who is more than talented enough to earn a rotational spot in the 2026 cornerback room, continues to look the part, showing off his elite skill set in man coverage against one of the top-ranked wide receivers in the 2027 class.

Chris Henry Jr., son of the late star NFL wideout Chris Henry, is widely considered the No. 1-ranked wide receiver prospect and has signed with Ohio State. Going against Arrington in coverage, Henry’s downfield speed and agility are nearly unmatched, unless he’s going against an equally long-armed defensive back with track speed, two traits that define Brandon Arrington.

In a video captured by a host of recruiting analysts in attendance this week, Arrington was seen beating Chris Henry in coverage, recording a PBU, and not giving up an inch in coverage against one of the country’s faster players. Arrington’s physical tools are obvious, but his maturity and football IQ continue to stand out, making him the top freshman to watch heading into the 2026 spring season.

All but one of Texas A&M’s 2026 signees will arrive in College Station this month.
