No. 3 Texas A&M (9-0, 6-0 SEC) will host South Carolina (3-6, 1-6 SEC) on Saturday afternoon for an early 11:00 a.m. kickoff, as the Aggies are coming off their blowout 38-17 road win over Missouri, and continue to look like the most complete team in college football heading into the final three games of the regular season.
While the Gamecocks have struggled this season, including four double-digit losses in SEC play, head coach Mike Elko is well aware of the challenge the Aggie defense will face against starting dual-threat quarterback La’Norris Sellers, who combined for three touchdowns and over 100 yards rushing during last season’s 44-20 win over Texas A&M in Williams-Brice Stadium.

This loss essentially ended the Aggies’ 2024 campaign, as they would spiral down the stretch, ending with an 8-5 record, including back-to-back losses to Auburn and Texas. Fast forward to November 11, 2025, Texas A&M is playing for a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff and the program’s first spot in the SEC Championship Game.
Led by starting quarterback Marcel Reed’s impressive season, the redshirt sophomore has thrown for 2,193 yards and 19 touchdowns, paired with 378 rushing yards and six scores. Transfer wide receivers KC Concepcion and Mario Craver have helped Reed take the next step as a pocket passer and become one of the most explosive offenses in the country.
Texas A&M’s defense, which has come alive during SEC play, is tied for first nationally with 34 sacks. At the same time, the secondary has improved, thanks to a veteran corner and safety rotation that has prevented big plays through the air.
On Tuesday, Texas A&M’s uniform combination was announced earlier than usual, as the Aggies will go with the all-maroon look, making it easy for Aggie fans attending the game to come in their usual maroon attire.
