No. 4 Texas A&M (6-0, 3-0 SEC) looks like the most complete team in the SEC after defeating Florida 34-17 in Week 7, but after three consecutive home games, the Aggies will now hit the road for three straight weeks, starting with the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday afternoon. So far this season, head coach Mike Elko should be proud of the way his team has fought, especially his defense, which is now considered an elite unit.
Throughout the season, the Aggies have earned the right to be considered a complete team, given the offense averaging over 400 yards per game, while scoring at least 30 points in back-to-back SEC games, paired with a defense that held Auburn, Mississippi State and Florida to under 100 yards rushing, mostly due to the enhanced play from Texas A&M’s defensive line and linebacker rotation.

Still, the next three road tests against Arkansas, LSU, and Missouri, especially now knowing that senior running back Le’Veon Moss will miss a “significant amount of time” while he heals from an apparent ankle injury suffered in the first half against Florida.
Another notable improvement seen against the Gators was the lack of penalties after committing 22 against Auburn and Mississippi State, as just three flags were called on the Aggies, including zero committed on the offensive line. After the win, coupled with Oregon’s home loss to Indiana, Texas A&M moved up one spot to No. 4 in the latest USA TODAY Sports Re-Rank.
Arkansas dropped three points to No. 80 after falling to Tennessee on the road, but after scoring 31 points under interim head coach Bobby Petrino, Mike Elko and his staff will have their hands full preparing for what the Razorbacks will throw out on Saturday afternoon.
