Texas A&M’s 2025-2026 basketball season will also mark the inaugural campaign for head coach Bucky McMillan, who has assembled a talented roster featuring more than a dozen veterans from the transfer portal, including Spanish sharpshooter Rubén Domínguez.
While the focus has been on McMillan rebuilding the roster, Tuesday’s reveal of Texas A&M’s nonconference schedule, which, as we’ve witnessed in years past, greatly affected the Aggies’ NCAA Tournament seeding during former head coach Buzz Williams’ six-year tenure. However, playing in the SEC, considered the best conference in basketball, usually makes up for a less-than-stellar nonconference slate, which is the case for the Aggies this season.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the Aggies will face Oklahoma State (Nov. 9) on the road in early November, combined with an ACC/SEC matchup against Pittsburgh (Dec. 2), while two neutral-site games against Florida State (Nov. 27) and SMU (Dec. 7) will also pose as early season challenges, but are all winnable matchups if this roster lives up to its preseason expectations.
