In the upcoming 2025-2026 season, the Texas Longhorn women’s basketball team have announced the SouthEastern Conference schedule and look beyond the Final Four in hopes of their schools second national championship since 1986.
Conference action opens up and ends on the road for the Longhorns, first against Missouri on January 1 and finishing up the regular season at Alabama on March 1. After the regular season concludes, the 2026 SouthEastern Conference Tournament will be held in Greenville, SC from March 4-8 which will include all 16 SEC teams then following the Division I Women’s Basketball NCAA Tournament.

Players to watch: graduate student-guard Rori Harmon is a speedy vocal leader for the team with free throw percentage .744 along with 2.9 assist per game and a total of 84 steals on the 24-25 season. Junior-forward Madison Booker powered through the 24-25 season with a .521 field goal average along the perimeter she has .403 three point percentage as well with a reputable .828 free throw percentage. Senior-center Kyla Oldacre confidently shoots with a .652 free throw percentage and a .546 field goal average during the 24-25 season.
Adjust your plans accordingly because the Longhorns look to make noise in the 2025-2026 season and exceed past the Final Four with their gritty defense who averaged 10.2 steals per-game and 39.4 rebounds per-game last season, and maintaining that explosive offense averaging 77.8 points per-game from the previous season.
