It’s time for playoff football.
The NFL playoffs kick off Saturday with a Wild Card Round double-header featuring a pair of NFC battles.

The playoff opener takes place in Charlotte as the No. 4 Carolina Panthers (8-9) host the No. 5 Los Angeles Rams (12-5). The NFC South champion Panthers are among a small group of teams to ever make the playoffs with a losing record. But Carolina did beat the Rams back in Week 13, when they turned over MVP candidate Matthew Stafford three times in a 31-28 home win.
The action then shifts over to Chicago for an NFC North clash between the No. 7 Green Bay Packers (9-7-1) and the division champion No. 2 Chicago Bears (11-6). This is just the third-ever postseason meeting between the two rivals and the first since the 2010 campaign when Green Bay defeated Chicago in the NFC Championship Game at Soldier Field.
The Bears and Packers split the 2025 season series, each winning at home. The most recent matchup in Week 16 saw Chicago complete an improbable 22-16 comeback victory, erasing a 10-point deficit in the final minutes of regulation before winning in overtime on a 46-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Caleb Williams to wideout DJ Moore.
So, which two NFC squads will take another step toward a Super Bowl? And which teams will be one and done in the playoffs? Here’s how to watch the first games of the postseason:
