The NFL received sad news on Sunday morning of the passing of former New York Jets All-Pro center Nick Mangold at age 41, after a battle with kidney disease.
Mangold played all 11 of his NFL seasons with the Jets and was a two-time first-team All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowl selection. He was a model of reliability during his career for the Jets, playing fewer than 14 games just once, which was his final season of 2016.

Mangold was a first-round pick for the Jets in 2006 as the 29th overall pick. He was a day one starter in the NFL and did not miss a start in his first five years in the league.

Upon retiring from the NFL in 2016, Mangold remained an ambassador for the Jets’ franchise and was inducted into the team’s ring of honor in 2022.
