The Rock’s current status for the SummerSlam Premium Live Event has now been revealed.
According to a report by Bodyslam.Net, internal sources have said there’s no sign that The Rock is set to return anytime soon. Therefore, the Final Boss is very unlikely to appear at the upcoming SummerSlam Premium Live Event in August.
Many fans were disappointed that The Rock didn’t appear at WrestleMania 41, especially since Travis Scott showed up and helped John Cena win the Undisputed WWE Title. The last time fans even saw him was during the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, where John Cena aligned with the Final Boss.
The Rock claimed he skipped WrestleMania 41 because he didn’t want to take attention away from John Cena’s 17th World Title win, which many people felt was just a bad excuse on The Rock’s part.
The Rock’s future in WWE is still unclear, so we will have to wait and see whether the Final Boss will return to WWE television this year, as it seems unlikely at this point in time.
Do you think The Rock should return later this year or wait for WrestleMania season? Sound off in the comments.
