The 20-year-old American joins a list of champions at the event that includes Carlos Alcaraz, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Jannik Sinner and Joao Fonseca.

Tien, of Irvine, California, takes home Β $502,250Β for his efforts. He lost to Fonseca in last year’s final at Jeddah.

Tien, who won his maiden ATP title in Metz in November, has won nine of his last 10 matches.

β€œI’m super happy,” Tien said of his stellar 2025 season that featured a trip to the round of 16 at the Australian and five Top-10 wins . β€œI was able to check a lot of boxes that I wanted to this year. I had a pretty long list of goals I wanted to hit, and I was able to get most of them. I’m really happy.”

Blockx was undefeated heading into the final (4-0), but drops to 0-3 lifetime against the Top-30 with his loss in what was a rematch of the 2023 Australian Open Boys’ final, won by Blockx.

Blockx made all 21 of his first serves in the opening set but was still unable to take the opener, falling in a tiebreak.

From there Tien, who saved both break pionts he faced, took over and managed a break in the second and third to win in routine fashion.
