Tom Aspinall ‘couldn’t care less’ if Jon Jones watches UFC 321 fight

by

Tom Aspinall couldn’t care less if Jon Jones watches his heavyweight title fight later today (Sat., Oct. 25, 2025) at UFC 321 LIVE on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The reigning UFC heavyweight king will step inside the Octagon for his second-straight defense in a main event clash with two-time title challenger, Ciryl Gane. Aspinall is a heavy betting favorite to take care of business because he has all the tools to make quick work out of “Bon Gamin.” That said, there’s still a ton of pressure on Aspinall to live up to his hype and keep his belt.

In turn, there will be a lot of eyes on Aspinall vs. Gane, but the champ doesn’t care if those watching include UFC legend, Jon Jones. Remember, Aspinall and Jones share a feud that goes back years. The two heavyweights were never able to solidify an actual fight before Jones’ surprise retirement earlier this year, but fans are still holding out hope that the matchup will one day come to fruition. Aspinall, on the other hand, is tired of talking about Jones and really doesn’t care if “Bones” watches his title fight Saturday afternoon.

“I couldn’t care less [if Jon Jones’ watches], to be honest,” Aspinall told TMZ (shown above). “Honestly, he’s the last person on my mind this week.”

As for his clash with Gane, Aspinall is happy to meet “Bon Gamin” at this point in their respective careers and put on a great heavyweight showcase.

“The fight with me and Cyril has definitely been simmering for a number of years since we both first got in the UFC,” said Aspinall.

“I think it’s happened at the right time, to be honest. I think if we would have fought each other when we were unranked or lower down the rankings, it obviously would not have been such a big fight as it is now. Now we’re fighting for the undisputed heavyweight title, which is great.”
