Adam Cole may be sidelined, but heβs far from forgottenβand AEW President Tony Khan made that clear during the Worlds End post-show media scrum.
After Cole made a surprise video appearance during Zero Hour, fans were left wondering what it meant for his future. Khan didnβt give a timeline, but he did offer a direct update that confirms what fans saw: Cole is doing well and still part of the AEW family.
Cole hasnβt wrestled since July due to serious concussion-related issues, and he officially stepped away from competition during AEW All In: Texas. While thereβs been speculation that he may never return to in-ring action, Coleβs appearance at Worlds End, where he gave his predictions for the Continental Classic tournament, ended with a hopeful note about 2026. Khan addressed the moment, saying he was just happy to see Cole involved again.
βWell, thereβs certainly no pressure. I was just really happy to hear from Adam Cole, and I thought the fans would be so happy to see him.β
Khan doubled down on AEWβs commitment to Coleβs health, pointing out how difficult his exit from competition had been. Although thereβs no official medical update, Khan acknowledged what fans noticed in the videoβthat Cole seems to be doing better.
βIt was important for Adam Cole to step away and prioritize his health and well-being. We love him, and heβs a great star here.β
βI donβt have any health updates other than to say you can see heβs doing well and heβs excited about AEW.β
Khan recalled how emotional Coleβs departure was earlier this year and praised how meaningful it was to hear from him again.
βSince we last heard from him when he had to vacate the TNT Championship at AEW All In: Texasβit was a sad moment. It was a hard moment for a lot of the fans and for a lot of us, so we were so happy to hear from him.β
He also praised Coleβs skills outside the ring, hinting that he still has a valuable place in AEW regardless of what happens physically.
βHeβs very good at being an analyst. Heβs an excellent host.β
While thereβs still no confirmation on an in-ring comeback, one thing is clear: Adam Cole isnβt going anywhere. Whether itβs in front of the camera, behind a microphone, or one day back in the ring, AEW has a place for himβand the fans are ready whenever he is.
