MMA legend Rampage Jackson’s son Raja Jackson went off-script and beat Syko Stu to an inch of his life and now former WWE star Trevor Lee has blamed the wrestling promoter for not protecting Syko Stu.
Trevor Lee took to Twitter and said the incident made him sick for the wrestling business. He told wrestlers to focus on protecting themselves because, in his view, promoters don’t care about their safety at all.
“Seeing what happened last night makes me sick for the business. Wrestlers learn to protect yourselves because these promoters do not give a f*** about protecting you.”
During a recent Knox Pro show, Raja Jackson brutally attacked Syko Stu in the ring after a planned spot as he took down Stu and repeatedly hit Stu in the head, leading to several injuries for the pro wrestler. At the time of writing, Stu is currently hospitalized after what Raja Jackson did to him.
Immediately following the attack, Rusev defended Syko Stu and made it clear Stu is an upstanding person. To make matters even more confusing, Stu had actually apologized to Raja Jackson and shook hands with him for hitting Jackson in the head with a fan before the spot.
This absolutely unfortunate incident definitely raises big questions about safety in wrestling, especially when untrained or inexperienced people are put in the ring. Trevor Lee’s reaction shows a larger problem: whether promoters are really doing enough to keep wrestlers safe. So we just hope such incidents never happen again in the future and that Syko Stu makes a full recovery.
