TRICON officially signs Kaden Honeycutt for 2026 NASCAR Truck season

by

Kaden Honeycutt will have some big shoes to fill in 2026 as he takes over the wheel of the No. 11 TRICON Garage Toyota, which Corey Heim drove to a historic title this past year.

In 2025, Heim won 4x as many races as his closest competition, secured nearly twice as many top fives, led 3x as many laps led, and ended the year with an average finish more than four places better than any other full-time driver. And to put an exclamation point on it all, he drove from tenth to first in overtime to lock up the championship.

His 12-win season was a new record in the Truck Series, but after three seasons as a full-time NCTS driver, the rising star is going elsewhere in 2026. It’s unclear what his plans are at this time, but we now know who is replacing him at TRICON.

Honeycutt, who drove for Niece Motorsports for the first part of the year before switching to Halmar-Friesen Racing for the playoffs, made it all the way to the Championship 4 without even winning a race. He ended the year third in standings, and was ousted by Niece mid-season because he planned to sign with a rival manufacturer for 2026, which has now been confirmed to be TRICON.

He will also become an official member of the Toyota Driver Development program.

“We are pleased to officially welcome Kaden into the Team Toyota family alongside our partners at TRICON Garage,” said Trent Rodriguez, manager, Driver Development, TRD U.S.A. “Kaden showed incredible poise overcoming many challenges throughout the 2025 season and showcased his talent by racing his way into the Championship 4. We are confident in his abilities behind the wheel and are thrilled to be able to give him an opportunity to compete full-time in a TRICON Tundra next season.”

Honeycutt also has plenty of success at the grassroots level, with a CARS Tour Pro Late Model crown, and a victory in the 2024 Snowball Derby against a stacked field of drivers. He will be partnered with crew chief

“I’ve waited my entire career for an opportunity like this. I can’t thank Toyota and TRICON enough for trusting me to carry the torch for the No. 11 Safelite Tundra and continue its incredible run of success,” said Honeycutt. “I’m truly honored and fired up to chase a championship with this team in 2026.”
