Triple H has been running WWE since 2022 and is often at the center of anything happening in the company. That’s why a former WWE writer has now accused him of having the biggest ego in wrestling.
While speaking on his YouTube channel, Vince Russo said he believes Triple H is using the current backstage politics in WWE to make himself seem as important and irreplaceable as Vince McMahon.
Russo thinks Triple H keeps putting himself in high-profile spots to prove the company needs him to run things, and that without him it would fall apart. Russo dismissed comparisons to Dana White, saying it’s really about Triple H securing his own position. He called the behavior pathetic and claimed Triple H now has the biggest ego in wrestling, so big that it’s become laughable.
“I… what I think is happening, Stevie, is I think Triple H, with the politics that are going on, I think he is doing everything in his power to cement, ‘I am Vince McMahon. You need me to run this company. Without me, this thing falls apart.’ Because, bro, as much as this guy is featured, and the spots that he continues to put himself in… you know, a lot of people saying, ‘Oh, they’re trying to, you know, make him the Dana White.’ No, bro. I think this is Triple H doing everything he possibly can to secure his spot—‘I am Vince McMahon. They said you couldn’t replace Vince. No, you can’t replace me’—because, bro, it’s… it’s pathetic. I would… Triple H has the biggest ego in the business. I never thought I would say that. There’s been egomaniacs in this business— this guy—it’s… it’s at the point of being freaking laughable.”
This comes after Triple H was heavily featured throughout the entire duration of WWE Unreal last month. While many fans credit Triple H with improving WWE’s creative direction, some fans feel Vince Russo might be correct in what he had to say about Triple H. Regardless, The Game will continue to run WWE to the best of his ability and that’s all that matters to him.
