Week 7 of the 2025 college football season is here, and that means my Big Ten football predictions are back! Each week this season, I will be making my predictions for every Big Ten football game. These picks are not against the spread, but rather straight up which team I think will win.
This week, we have a full slate of nine conference games. Let’s dive into the action:

Washington over Rutgers (Friday)
These two schools are nearly 3,000 miles apart and in the same conference. Welcome to college football in 2025!
Ohio State over Illinois
Illinois is a fun story and should win eight or nine games again, but Ohio State might be the best team in the country.
UCLA over Michigan State
When I pick UCLA to win, they lose. When I pick UCLA to lose, they win. Hence, I know what I have to do here.
Oregon over Indiana
Indiana is also a fun story and may very well make the playoff again, but Oregon simply has too much talent for the Hoosiers to overcome.
Penn State over Northwestern
Surely Penn State won’t lose to a Big Ten bottom feeder two weeks in a row, right? Right?

Nebraska over Maryland
Maryland might not be as bad as people expected, but I still do not think that they are particularly good.
Iowa over Wisconsin
With UCLA getting a win last week, Wisconsin might be the new worst team in the Big Ten.
Michigan over USC
Lincoln Riley failed to prove me wrong against Illinois. Can he do so against Michigan?
Minnesota over Purdue
Is anyone other than fans of these two teams actually going to watch this game?
