Things just escalated in the defamation case tied to Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE.
Dr. Carlon Colker has officially brought in Alejandro Brito as his legal representation—yes, the same Alejandro Brito who previously represented former President Donald Trump in his defamation lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch, News Corp, and The Wall Street Journal.
The update comes via Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, who also reported that the case has now been assigned to Judge Sarah F. Russell. That’s the same judge presiding over Grant’s sex trafficking lawsuit involving Vince McMahon, WWE, and former executive John Laurinaitis.
Colker and his company, Peak Wellness Inc., filed the defamation suit back in May 2025 against Grant’s attorney Ann Callis and the Holland Law Firm. The complaint accuses them of making false public statements tying Colker to unethical medical conduct connected to Grant’s original case.
In June, Grant filed court documents seeking access to communications between Colker, his staff, and anyone tied to Vince McMahon or WWE. And in July, the Connecticut Superior Court ruled that Grant’s bill of discovery against both Colker and Peak Wellness will move forward.
The allegations stem from Grant’s original January 2024 lawsuit, which claims she visited Peak Wellness more than sixty times from 2019 to 2022—allegedly at the direction of McMahon. According to Grant’s legal team, she was given unidentified supplements and infusions during those visits.
Colker has continued to deny any wrongdoing and maintains that Janel Grant has already received her full medical records.
With a high-profile attorney now in Colker’s corner and the court battles expanding, this legal fight is far from over.
