A flyweight matchup between Joseph Morales and Matt Schnell is the latest addition to November’s UFC Fight Night 264 lineup.
“The Ultimate Fighter 33” winner Morales (13-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) will attempt to continue success of his second octagon stint in the Nov. 8 clash with Schnell (17-9 MMA, 7-7 UFC), which takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas (ESPN+).
Two people with knowledge of the situation verified the booking to MMA Junkie on Thursday. The people requested anonymity because the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
After losing two of three fights in his first promotional tenure, Morales worked his way back and secured his spot on the roster again with a second-round submission of Alibi Idiris at UFC 319 in August to claim the “TUF 33” crown.
The 31-year-old will now test himself against a divisional mainstay in Schnell, who snapped a three-fight losing skid i April with a unanimous decision win over Jimmy Flick at UFC on ESPN 66.
