The Georgia Bulldogs play the Charlotte 49ers on Saturday, Nov. 22 in Georgia‘s final home game of the season. Georgia (8-1, 6-1 SEC) hosts the No. 10 Texas Longhorns the week before playing Charlotte (1-8, 0-6 AAC) for the first time in school history.
Georgia will be heavy favorites against a Charlotte team that has not beaten a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) opponent this season. Charlotte’s lone win of the year came against Monmouth, who is a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) program.

Charlotte is a relatively new football program. The 49ers began playing at an FBS level in 2015 and have just one bowl appearance (no bowl wins).
The Charlotte game should provide an excellent opportunity for Georgia’s depth players to see a lot of snaps. Georgia will want to take care of business quickly against Charlotte to avoid injury risk for key starters and give players a bit more rest ahead of a short week. After Charlotte, Georgia plays No. 12 Georgia Tech on Friday, Nov. 28 in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
