The 2027 recruiting class for Penn State football is looking to be one of the best classes the Nittany Lions have had in a while. With a likely completely new roster taking the field in 2027, than the one that will take the filed in 2025, fans should have nothing to worry about. The talent coming from the class of 2027 should help Penn State stay a top team in college football. Especially with these two players coming to Happy Valley.

Kemon Spell
Ranked as the No.1 running back in the class of 2027 by 247Sports, Pennsylvania native Kemon Spell shut down his recruiting process early. All the way back in August in 2024 the five-star Spell committed to the Nittany Lions. The speed and elusiveness he possesses has made him a highly touted recruit.
In his sophomore season at McKeesport High School he ran for 1,681 yards on 157 carries, and had 24 touchdowns.

Saquon Barkley.
If he can even come near to providing a similar impact to the one Barkley had while at Penn State, then the Nittany Lions should have no problem in winning games from 2028-2030.
Khalil Taylor
Penn State also secured an early commitment from class of 2027 wide receiver Khalil Taylor. Taylor is ranked by 247Sports as the composite 53rd best player in his class, and the 10th best receiver.
Last year in his sophomore season for Seton La Salle High School, he had 51 catches for 932 yards, and 22 touchdowns.

He will make sure whoever is the quarterback for Penn State in 2028, that they will have the tools to be successful.
