Two Last-Minute Matches Revealed for November 8 AEW Collision

by

Just 20 minutes before AEW Collision went live on November 8, Tony Khan pulled a fast one on fans—announcing not one, but two surprise matches for the show, heating up the card with some serious last-minute fire.

In a post on X/Twitter Khan confirmed a major tag team clash and a TNT Title defense featuring top AEW stars and a member of the Bang Bang Gang. The first late addition? A hard-hitting tag team showdown between FTR and Bang Bang Gang members Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn. Khan teased the stakes with this:

“FTR are locked in for their #AEWFullGear World Tag Team Title Match vs Brodido! Will the Bang Bang Gang be able to disrupt FTR’s momentum?”

The second match came as a surprise TNT Championship defense. Despite being days away from defending the title against Mark Briscoe at Full Gear, Kyle Fletcher was booked to defend the gold against Ace Austin of the Bang Bang Gang.

“The Protostar aims to prove he’s a fighting champion! Although he’s set to face Mark Briscoe at #AEWFullGear, Fletcher will defend his belt vs #BangBangGang’s Ace Austin TONIGHT!”

With Blood & Guts matches already on deck, including Jon Moxley vs. Roderick Strong and Jamie Hayter vs. Skye Blue, these last-minute additions only raised the stakes for a jam-packed Collision. The event is now a pivotal launchpad heading into Full Gear, and Tony Khan made sure it delivered right out of the gate.

Tony Khan once again proved that when it comes to AEW programming, anything can happen—right up to the final countdown. Be sure to tune in live and follow along with Ringside News for full play-by-play coverage over in our AEW Collision results section.
