The Mets are making their second move to bolster their bullpen this Trade Deadline season, acquiring right-hander in a trade with the Giants, a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand on Wednesday. The teams have not confirmed the trade.

MLB Network insider Joel Sherman reported that San Francisco will receive right-hander , right-handed pitcher (the Mets’ No. 10 prospect) and outfielder (NYM No. 12 prospect).

Known for his unique submarine delivery, Rogers has quietly emerged as one of the most dependable relievers in the National League over the last seven years. The 34-year-old right-hander averages 83.3 mph with his sinker and 74 mph on his slider, but he consistently gets bad swings due to his low release point and excels at inducing soft contact.

Since debuting with the Giants in 2019, Rogers has recorded an excellent 2.79 ERA over 392 relief appearances. A pending free agent, Rogers is in the midst of perhaps his best season yet, logging a 1.80 ERA over 53 relief appearances — tied with the Reds’ Tony Santillan for the most in the Majors — while serving as the Giants’ setup man.

He is the twin brother of left-hander Taylor Rogers, who was also traded from the Reds to the Pirates as part of the reported Ke’Bryan Hayes deal on Wednesday.
