Outfielder and the Mets agreed to a $3.8 million deal for 2026 to avoid arbitration, a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand on Friday. The team has not confirmed.

Taylor, a talented defensive player, played in 113 games for New York in 2025, starting 87 of them. He played all three outfield spots, though most of his time was spent in center field, where he saw action in 106 games.

Taylor, acquired from the Brewers prior to the 2024 season, has hit .235 with nine home runs and 23 stolen bases in 686 plate appearances for the Mets the past two years.
