The UCF Knights men’s basketball team (5-1) took a double-digit lead in the second half and never looked back against the Pitt Panthers Thursday in its first neutral site game of the season at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach.
After a close first half, UCF’s starting senior guards Riley Kugel and Themus Fulks would hook up for a three to beat the halftime buzzer.
Fulks and Kugel led the team in scoring with 18 apiece. It was a season high in three-pointers for Fulks, who shot a perfect 3/3 from beyond the arc.

Pitt could not find the same success from three-point range, shooting about 26 percent. UCF capitalized on the misses, dominating Pitt in the rebounding department 37-28.
Jamichael Stillwell grabbed 11 of those rebounds and scored 12 points for back-to-back double-doubles on the season.
Sophomore center John Bol also contributed to the rebound total after recording a season high in rebounds with six. It was the most Bol was involved for UCF this season, also logging a season high in minutes played with 22.
The Knights now get a few days off to prepare for the fifth home matchup of the season against Qunnipiac on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
