The second coming of Kyle Daukaus has been something to behold.
After a 43-second outing in his August return to the UFC, Daukaus (17-4 MMA, 4-4 UFC) needed only 50 seconds to club-and-sub Gerald Meerschaert on Saturday. The middleweight bout took place on the UFC 322 prelims at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Daukaus, 32, landed a series of punches that dropped Meerschaert (37-21 MMA, 12-13 UFC). As Meerschaert covered up, Daukaus grabbed hold of his neck, squeezed, and got the tap with a D’Arce choke.
Daukaus was released from the UFC in early 2023 after a 2-4 (with one no contest) stint with the promotion. After a 4-0 run for CFFC, Daukaus rejoined the promotion for a bout vs. Michel Pereira, who he finished with strikes in 43 seconds.
Meerschaert, 37, drops to 2-8 in his most recent 10 outings and is on a four-fight losing skid.
